Turkey Bowl V

Get ready for an adrenaline-packed day of flag football action as we invite you to join us for the 2024 AFF Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament, taking place on November 2-3, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Mukkulan Kuplahalli, located at Torpinkatu 4, 15240 Lahti. The venue offers excellent facilities, including ample parking and nearby amenities for your convenience.

We're excited to announce several exciting changes and improvements for this year's tournament that promise to make it even more unforgettable than ever before.

STRUCTURED TOURNAMENT FORMAT

We will have both a Women's Division and a Men's Division, catering to players of all skill levels. In preparation for the 2028 Olympics, we have also added a Juniors u17 Division. Based on the recent popularity of the sport, we are willing to accommodate 12 teams in each division (maximum of 6 in the Juniors Division). However, we're flexible and will adjust the schedule accordingly based on the number of registered teams. If we reach a minimum of 8 teams, every team will have the opportunity to play a minimum of 5 games.

FINLAND GP POINTS

The 2024 AFF Turkey Bowl will be a Finland Grand Prix Competition tournament, meaning all participating teams will earn points. This will most likely be the first and largest GP tournament of the year, making these points that more important! All teams must complete GP Series Registration, and all players must have a Flag License before gameplay. Detailed rules and regulations can be found here

REGISTRATION & DETAILS

Registration closes on September 1. Remember, we have a limit of 12 teams per division, so be sure to secure your spot early. The registration fee is 250 euros, payable via PayPal or bank transfer.

GAMEPLAY

Each team can have a maximum of 12 players, ensuring everyone gets a chance to hit the field. The tournament will be played in accordance with adjusted SAJL Flagball Rules (Finnish) You can find general tournament rules explained briefly in the AFF Flag Rules.

OFFICIALS

Every team is required to supply one official crew (3 players or persons) for the tournament. These crews will assist the tournament officials in an effort to increase the understanding of Flag Football rules by everyone involved. Teams will receive officiating schedules when the tournament schedules are made public.

PRIZES

Exciting prizes and awards will be given to the top teams and standout players in each division. Stay tuned for more details on what you can win!

MEDIA

All games will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube following the tournament. You can subscribe to the AFF YouTube channel at AFF YouTube Channel. Additionally, we will be testing our live streaming capabilities throughout the day.

FOOD

There will be concessions available throughout the day. Plus, if your team's hungry for more than just victory, you can pre-order a delicious warm lunch of Chicken Pasta with Salad for €12.50 per person. On-site purchase will be available for €16 per person. Lunch will be available from 12:00 - 13:30.
