ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The Spring Classic is one of Finland’s premier flag football events, bringing together top women's, men's, and youth teams for two days of competitive action. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a fan of the sport, the Spring Classic offers a high-energy experience for everyone. This tournament is part of the growing flag football movement in Finland, aimed at expanding the sport and showcasing the best local talent.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Spring Classic is a round-robin format tournament that guarantees each team at least three games, with the potential for four if the division is fully booked (4 teams).
Women’s and U17 Girls' divisions will compete on Saturday, May 24.
Men’s and U17 Boys' divisions will compete on Sunday, May 25.
After the round-robin stage, teams will face off in 3rd place and Championship games to determine the final standings.
This structure ensures that every game is competitive and meaningful, giving teams a fair chance to prove themselves on the field.

REGISTRATION & FEES
The registration fee for the Spring Classic is 125 euros per team, payable upon registration. This fee secures your team’s spot in the tournament and guarantees participation in at least three games, with the potential for four games if the division is fully booked (4 teams).
Referee Requirement
Each team is required to either:
A) Provide one referee to officiate games during the tournament, or
B) Pay a 150€ referee fee in place of providing a referee.
This fee must be paid at least 3 weeks prior to the tournament. If a team does not provide a referee and fails to pay the fee on time, they will forfeit one game and lose 14 points for each game they play during the tournament.
How to Register

Refund Policy
Refunds are available up to 30 days before the tournament for teams that need to withdraw. After this deadline, registration fees are non-refundable.

AWARDS & NORDIC INVITATIONAL
At the Spring Classic, we believe in recognizing excellence both on and off the field. Championship Trophies and medals will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams in each division. The 3rd place team will also receive a trophy in recognition of their effort.
A standout prize: The top Women’s and Men’s teams will earn sponsorship to participate in the prestigious Nordic Invitational in October, where they will represent Finland on an international stage in Norway.
LOCATION & FACILITIES
The event will be held at Paavolan Kenttä, one of Lahti’s top outdoors sports field. Just minutes from downtown, it offers excellent access to local amenities such as shopping and dining at the nearby Syke Mall. The venue will have locker rooms available for players and officials, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout the weekend.
